Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) Class

Cost: $2,782 per person

CMSE provides expert-level training in the area of machinery safety, enabling those who complete the training to prove their competence through independent certification by TÜV NORD and Pilz.

Divided into 5 modules, the course provides the key requirements that need to be considered in relation to machinery safety.

• Machinery Standards and Regulations
• Risk Assessment
• Occupational Health and Safety
• Safety Systems and Electrical Safety
• Functional Safety: Safety Control, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems

CMSE will provide you with the competence for the safeguarding of machines and plants. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of the lifecycle, from risk assessment, to the creation of safety concepts, and application of functional safety principles, leading to the concrete implementation of compliance strategies.

CMSE is a globally recognized qualification enabling a 360° approach to machinery safety.

The following are the minimum criteria which candidates must satisfy in order to meet the eligibility criteria. One (either or) of the criteria below must be met in order to be eligible to proceed with the training:

1. Long term professional experience and training in one or several areas relating to machinery safety e.g. technology, safety-related design and construction, safety-related maintenance and repair (5+ years).
2. Formal qualification(s) in the areas of General science, Engineering, Technology, Construction and Design, or Maintenance and Repair of Machinery from a University / Technical college where the training lasted two or more years. AND… At least one year practical experience in one or several areas relating to machinery safety, e.g. technology, safety-related design and construction, safety-related maintenance and repair.
