Power Supplies

Sola has a broad range of standard power supplies to suit almost any industrial application. Updated approvals and user-friendly features make power system design easy. The DIN Rail Sola power supplies products feature full CE compliance (including all the elements of CE design engineers need to worry about: safety/LVD, EMC, and ingress protection). UL 508 approvals eliminate derating in UL 508 listed panel systems. Global inputs are available for installations around the world.
Sola also offers a three phase input option on many of the SDN DIN Rail Sola power supply products that convert 380/480 three phase directly to 24 VDC. They provide extremely stable, regulated low voltage without the need for a step down transformer saving space and money.

Power Conditioners

Sola/Hevi-Duty's ferroresonant power conditioners protect equipment from all power problems other than a complete loss of power. They excel at tight voltage regulation within ±1.0% for input variations up to +10%/-20%, provide superior noise attenuation and are designed to withstand the harshest electrical environments. With no moving parts, Sola’s ferroresonant power conditioners are virtually maintenance-free.

• CVS Series power conditioners are most effective against power quality disturbances including impulses, swells, sags, brownouts and severe waveform distortion.
• MCR Hardwired Series provides excellent noise filtering and surge protection to safeguard connected equipment against damage, degradation or malfunction.
• MCR Portable Series provides excellent noise filtering and surge protection to safeguard connected equipment against damage, degradation or malfunction.
• SOLATRON Plus three phase power conditioners protect equipment from voltage sags and spikes, switching transients, lightning and induced surges using a surge suppression circuit linked to a shielded isolation transformer and input and output filters.

Surge Protection

SolaHD offers a complete selection of single and three phase models, including combination units that provide both surge protection and filtering in a single device. Also available are surge protection for data lines, coaxial cables and telephone systems. These surge protectors guard equipment against damaging voltage transients and electrical noise. Active tracking filters protect against the low voltage/high frequency transients generated by everyday events such as turning on motors or machinery.

Transformers

Sola/Hevi-Duty offers a broad range of transformers to meet many applications. These dry-type transformers are offered encapsulated, ventilated or non-ventilated, 600 Volt Class, isolation type, single and three phase, through 500 kVA. Indoor and outdoor models are available.
General purpose transformers can be located close to the load. No vaults are required for installation and no long, expensive feeder lines are needed. Common applications include inductive and resistive loads such as motors, lighting and heating.
Hevi-Duty general purpose transformers are manufactured to meet applicable industry standards, are listed in accordance with UL 506 and UL 1561 specifications and are classified as isolation transformers.

Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)

The SolaHD Uninterruptible Power Supply product line consists of four topologies and classes of power protection:
DC topology provides cost effective, efficient back-up power for 24 V DC applications.
Off-line topology (also called stand-by) is a cost-effective UPS choice for small, less critical, stand-alone applications such as isolated PLC, PCs and peripherals.
Line-Interactive topology provides highly effective power conditioning plus battery back-up.
Online topology provides the highest levels of power protection, conditioning and power availability. True on-line topology is accomplished with double conversion technology.
