Opto 22

On-the-Rack Controllers (R-Series)
The SNAP-PAC-R1 & SNAP-PAC-R2 programmable automation controllers provide control, communication, and I/O processing in a compact, rack-mounted package. One of four components of the SNAP PAC System, the SNAP-PAC-R1 & SNAP-PAC-R2 are fully integrated with PAC Project software, SNAP PAC brains, and SNAP I/O modules.

Used with the included PAC Project Basic software suite (or PAC Project Professional, purchased separately), the Ethernet-based SNAP-PAC-R1 can handle almost all your industrial control, remote monitoring, and data acquisition needs.

SNAP PAC R-Series Controllers

Standalone Controllers (S-Series)
The SNAP-PAC-S1 & SNAP-PAC-S2 programmable automation controllers provide powerful, real-time control and communications to meet your industrial control, monitoring, and data acquisition needs.

One of the four components of the SNAP PAC System, the SNAP-PAC-S1 & SNAP-PAC-S2 are fully integrated with PAC Project software, SNAP PAC brains, and SNAP I/O modules to form a complete control system. The SNAP PAC System includes digital and analog control, serial string handling, PID loops, and enterprise connectivity.

The controller is compact and industrially hardened. It includes two independent Ethernet network interfaces with separate IP addresses, which can be used to segment the control network from the company network or for redundant Ethernet links.

Analog I/O Modules
Analog I/O modules handle devices that have a range of possible values. Temperature sensors and proportional valves are examples of analog devices.

Digital I/O Modules
Digital I/O modules handle devices that can be in only one of two states: either on or off (true or false, 0 or 1, running or stopped, etc.). Push buttons and LEDs are examples of digital devices.

SNAP Serial Communication Modules
SNAP Serial communication modules connect to serial devices via RS-232, RS-485/422, Profibus, or Wiegand protocol. As well as one for motion control.
